Revelation 21:4
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
My father is very ill and is in critical condition. He is 94 and his lungs are failing. He has been on assisted breathing and asked that it be removed. He has pneumonia in both lungs, and short of the LORD intervening, he will not survive. I spoke with the doctor, and they are going to put an oxygen mask on him and give him morphine.
I am an only child and very close with him. Even though he is 94, this is very difficult for time for me. I thank everyone that has been praying and contacted me by email and in the comment section.
I have to travel a long ways to be with him, and because of the circumstances, I will not be able to update the blog. I will ask Geoffrey Grider to keep you update with a post on the blog.
In many ways through the blog and blog talk radio, we have all become like family. We are looking and waiting with patience for the return of the Blessed Redeemer.
I have met so many wonderful Christians from all over the world through this ministry. God bless all of you.

Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

So sorry about your dad...no matter how young or old, it's hard. I lost my dad when he was 48..to young, now I am 52 and still miss him!! Will say prayers for you and your dad!
John, you and your father are in our prayers. While you are away, I found a website that does a decent job of posting breaking news from Israel. They don't add commentary like you do, but the news links are timely. http://www.SpotlightOnIsrael.com
John, I am praying for your father.May the Lord be with you and your family at this difficult time. My mother-in-law is going through something similar. She is in the hospital fighting for her life. She is 87 with pneumonia in both lungs. She is a believer and follower of our Lord Jesus, so if she passes we know that she will finally be at rest with our Lord. The hard part will be for her family in losing her for a time. I am sure this is the case for you and your family as well. Also, Joni, you are in my prayers as well. May God bless us all. S.O.
Bro. John,

I ask my Heavenly Father in Jesus by his Spirit of grace for his manifold mercies and grace upon you in this trying time!
Praying for you and your family. May angels guard you as you travel.
Johnabite nation is with you, your father and the rest of your family. Be a peace my brother. God is great!
Dear Brother John - I have great compassion for you as you are going through this trial. I lost my mother because of pneumonia when she was 96 years of age. Like your father, her mind was very sharp and we had good conversations - I feel so blessed that the Lord gave us that wonderful companionship right up until she went home. Thinking of you both and praying for your peace and comfort. 'Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort...' 2Corinthians 1:3 - Mrs CJB
JONI - Thinking of you also - will be praying again for you Wed. 01-25-12 with my prayer partner. A note is on the way by mail. In the precious name of Yeshua - Mrs CJB

Brother John, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time! God bless you!
Dear Brother John,
I am truly sorry for your loss. I'm glad you were close to him. That is a precious thing. I'll pray for your comfort at this time.
My Dad is dying of prostate cancer and is on the downhill. However, we were not close. Yet, over the last 1.5 years, we have had some time to "connect" a bit and it's been a blessing to me.
God bless you!!!

I am praying for you.My Father died in 1999 and I miss him so much.I know we will be in heaven one day and then all of God's followers will also be one big family. It is hard to loose a parent but you have people who care for you so that will help.I want to thank you for your great website and know God will be with you now and always.
Dr. John...I am so sorry to hear about your father's failing health. We will be lifting you, your father and your family up in prayer, asking for comfort and peace.
Dr. John -
I will be praying for you and your family. I know it's difficult I lost my dad four years ago. REGARDLESS of his age, he is still your dad. May God Bless you and strengthen you. I pray for your safe travel.
The comfort that we have is that all signs are pointing to the fact that it won't be long, John, before we will ALL be going! God's Word says to comfort one another with these words, and I can't think of anything more comforting that knowing we'll all be there together SOON.
John, God's peace to you & your family at this time. I just prayed that Jesus will come swiftly to his side & comfort you & your Dad as well. We are right there with you ...you are always there for us & soooo faithful! I love all of God's precious people who write to you each week. One day soon, we will all be with Jesus forever & there I will meet you & your Dad. Shalom my friend♥
My prayers and thoughts are with you. I pray the peace of the Lord in you and your family.

Dear John
I pray the peace of our Lord and Savior fill you and your father. You are in my prayers and thoughts.
John, so sorry about your father, but I am praying for his salvation. I pray the Lord's comfort for you in the coming days, they never are easy as I well know, but we can get through them because He Lives.
Losing my Dad was the most painful, life-changing event I've ever been forced to endure so I'm asking God to bind up your broken heart, the one that's already been broken by the loss of Belle. Mom always pictures my Dad in heaven with all our departed dogs and cats. Here's a long distance hug...
May Our Gracious Lord grant you and your family the peace and grace through this very difficult period. Thank God that you will see him again - praying for his salvation top priority.
John sorry about your dad, I too have an elderly dad and wish I could be closer to him. As for the blog it can wait somethings are more important, will keep you and your dad in our prayers. God Bless
