CommentaryI took off a few days from writing the blog. It is very difficult to watch America die like this with the vast majority of Christians either blinded or uncaring. They are dead to God's holiness and the true fear of the LORD. This has resulted in a blindness that is frightening. It seems the more America mocks God by promoting abortion and homosexuality, along with Obama's attempts to divide Israel, the more the church becomes unconcerned. There is just a remnant that is standing for the LORD against this tsunami of sin. The Laodicean church has a powerful influence over America.
Iran's Captured RQ-170: How Bad Is the Damage? 12/09/11 I see this as all part of the curse coming over the American military for open homosexuality and now bestiality. Once again, the church could care less about the sodomizing of the military. I am 100 percent sure that the Holy God of Israel is concerned about open sodomy in the ranks. How sad it is to write this, but what is God to do with a nation that has viciously turned against Him while His church could care less!

This explains why they cannot agree on a plan to deal with the debt. As these nations fight for power, the European Union is sinking and collapsing under the weight of this debt! It appears that it is now so far gone that nothing can now bring it back. Watch for Europe to break up which is going to create an economic disaster that will shake America and the rest of the world.

For 1800+ years the church has been teaching that "the law of Moses" has ended. Well, it is God's law, and He doesn't change. What do you expect from those who think His law is ended?
John: The past two weeks have been difficult to watch what is happening, especially as people all around seem to be totally unaware and are making plans for events months and years into the future. What news are they watching!?
I was especially alarmed when there was one or two mentions online about some US troops (special forces, I believe) that were leaving Iraq and being diverted to the Syrian/Jordanian border with the approval of Jordan's King Abdullah. I know several pastors who have tried to preach the Bible without compromise, and have a high standard of behavior for themselves and for their people, and without exception, their churches have shrunk. Here in the south, if you don't like the church you are attending, there is another one right down the road that will be happy to have you there, no questions asked. And, it seems to me that the churches that have low standards and compromise the truth are growing and doing well, while the churches that are careful to adhere to the Bible and have high standards are withering. Anyone have some thoughts on this?
I, too, have been watching and shaking my head...I laugh and wonder why people ARE making plans as if life will go on as usual?? LOOK AT THE SIGNS!!! I am not saying to go to the extreme, but you all know what I mean! My husband is a pastor, and we have been 'removed' twice this year from ministry--totally unfounded and confusing. NOW we are beginning to think that all this has happened because we need to BE the church that this area needs!! Uncompromising, Bible-teaching and unashamed! It feels like we are 'Job' right now--the loss of job, friends, and now we have the boils (chicken pox!! 2 kids!) in the house! It is almost comical, but I have been reading Job very carefully and it is so encouraging. It is a testament of persevering THRU trials, and not succumbing. It is about doing what is RIGHT and keeping our eyes on God no matter WHAT! We don't always understand why we are going thru what we do, but I DO know God is faithful and we will be taken care of. We are living day to day and we have NOT gone without our NEEDS being met. We know things will get worse--especially if the Euro crashes...(we have a European student living with us--unsaved..please pray!) Anyways--I just feel that God has big things in store for those of us who are ready to be deployed.

Gary, that sure is a problem!! It seems no one can undergo any type of discipline (discipleship) without getting their feathers ruffled and running off like a whinababy. As a result, few press towards maturity in Christ. There are over 20 churches in the town I am in alone!! When you share anything that someone does not like, they run down the street literally. There is only a population of 2200 in this town. Only severe persecution, sadly, will expose the tares and solidify believers pushing them towards one another in love. Sadly, I see that persecution on the horizon. We are getting more like Nazi Germany in the 1930s everyday!!

I am thankful Teresa is doing well.
And that your husband is well too?
Next week I have surgery, to remove the tumor. The surgeon was very pleased, and it seems he was a bit surprised at how much the tumor has shrunk, making it operable now.
All I want for Christmas is to wake up from the surgery on the 19th, hearing the words, "we got it all" and a couple days later, after pathology testing is complete, hearing the words, "no lymph node involvement". That would be the best Christmas gift I could ever receive.
Besides the gift we all have already received in the birth of our Lord Jesus.
I still have a ways to go.......I wish the surgery were the end of this journey, but this part will be a huge step forward, and I can put some of the worst of it all behind me after this I think.
I am hoping for the most joyous Spring ever, no matter what the world situation will be at that time, I just want to hear, "No evidence of any cancer any longer"

The Law of Moses has ended. When was the last time you kept the Sabbath? And no,Sunday is not the "Christian Sabbath."
Since when did the church have the mission of fighting every form of evil in America? Why didn't Paul go through the Roman empire demanding an end to all its evils?
We don't belong to this world, nor should we be surprised by the evil in it.

I think the scripture 2 Timothy 4:3-4 explains very well the situation you describe.
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,having itching ears.
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth,and shall be turned into fables (or myths)."
While the Lord will protect and uphold the righteous,the penalty for false teachers,prophets and those that once followed the Lord and have turned away,will be judgment.

I believe with the apostasy and apathy in our land and worldwide that God is allowing all of this to happen, I pray for faith for my family and myself to be washed by the blood of Christ along with family and friends because as John has written about the coming of God's judgement on our country we are all in for a terrible time we need to cry out for the Lords mercy and to be delivered from evil.

Blood Red Moon over Israel means psalm 83/84 war a week from now?
Today’s Blood Red Moon has got several watchers excited. “I have been feeling something major was going down all day just not what. Literally sick to my stomach the bittersweet feeling in the bible when John was told to swallow!” wrote Charles at Fivedove.com.
SLOOH Space Camera has live coverage of the special lunar eclipse. Their camera from Australia -East captured the blood red moon image above.
Charles then noted a post from the Rapture Ready forum saying,”I knew in my Spirit that God was trying to tell me something. Lunar eclipses foretell things about ISRAEL, and solar eclipses foretell things about other nations.”
This type of lunar eclipse has happen three previous times in the last 100 years. They happened in 1948, 1967, and 1973. These dates are all dates of every war Israel has fought since her birth in 1948.
The author said, “This eclipse is announcing another war – this time it’s the Ezekiel 38/Psalms 83 war that we’ve been expecting to blow up anytime now. Every single one of these wars started ONE WEEK TO THE DAY after their corresponding eclipses. ”
“That’s what God is showing us. So, am I saying that this war is going to break out one week to the day after this eclipse happens this weekend?”
“Yes, I think that’s what God is showing us.”

Your thinking is exactly the problem that has lead America into the state it is now in. You apparently do not see a connection between national sin and offending God's holiness and judgment.
The west is full of "careless Christians" The day is coming when the true church in the west will have to go underground and the persecuters will be the worldly church with their franchises and Chrislam.

I wanted to say thank you for last Sunday's show. I finally got to listen to it and with the exception of the woman who called with the sex issue I thought it was the best show you guys have done. I nearly broke down and wept while listening to it (I was at work with an mp3 in my ear so I didn't) because it applied to me and my spirit of bitterness and a spirit of giving up.I have repented and brought it all before the Lord just as you said to. Your comments on Tim Tebow were right on target also and I'm a Packers fan but my wife loves the Broncos imagine if they meet in the superbowl, I won't know who to cheer for. We have made Tebow part of our nightly prayers as a family that he be strong and not give in to the tempatations and hatred that this world will throw at him. Thank you sir, your show last week as started a revival in my life and I am ever so grateful. My church is fairly solid and KJV but very cold in love. I find that love in your Sunday show and now Friday night prayer time. Thank you and be safe in your bunker..:)

For me, the answer is obvious. But for many, it isn't so.
Is the "Church" any better in carrying out this truth to be seperated from rest of the world? No. If that is so, what make us think that we will get out of here without a burnt mark,(pre-trip).

@Anne: What an inspiration you have been over the past months with your determination to not compromise your faith and the clear teachings of God's Word in face of your husband's being dismissed from 2 churches because of that strength that surely God has given you.
I believe sincerely that you have perhaps finally understood that God wants what you said, "to BE the church that your area needs". I also believe that John's advice "Start from the ground up and get away from the people full of the Laodicean spirit" is exactly what God has in mind for you. There are at least two of us praying for you and your husband to be discerning in this and to stand with you in prayer as you make decisions about what you are to do!
We also are praying for your family's health and for the European student living in your home! Surely God has placed that young person there to witness your love for Biblical truth and your determination not to compromise that truth! God bless you and your family!

I just got done reading the huge book (biography) on Bonhoeffer...what an inspiration!!! I also got done reading his letters from prison. Wow. To be faithful in such persecution and hopelessness..his last words were, 'This is the end, for me the beginning of life.'..
We are all waiting with anticipation for this coming year..for my family, it is a breath of fresh air. 2011 was the worst year (or maybe the best..??) we have had to go thru. Still waiting on God, still praying for direction and yes, I still wake up early in the morning in a cold sweat when reality hits me. There HAS to be a plan! There HAS to be a reason for all of this...Thank you for all your prayers... @Barbara, etc..:) What a comfort.

I am so blessed that you have been and will be praying for me.
Today and tomorrow will be hard days.
But I am getting through each one, one at a time, by God's grace, and your prayers.
Sometimes it's still all so surreal, I thought life was so beautiful and perfect each day on the other side of the mountains, after my move away from the wicked city.
I was walking on air each day, almost pinching myself to be sure it was all real.
Unspeakable joy.
This cancer curve ball has at times, knocked me off my feet, and the lie I have been told by the enemy, is that things will never go back to that joyful time like it was before. That this is as good as it gets, ill with cancer.
Thankfully, because of the blessings that are all over me and this cancer, blessings that are evident, each day, I know that is a big fat lie, and I will be walking on air again, with unspeakable joy. And telling everyone who has ears, that The Lord has done it all, and the glory belongs to Him.
He laid a treatment plan in front of us, and I am just following it.
I am looking forward to that day soon.
You have no idea how much your prayers mean to me, and how I have relied on them when things got extra hard with this.
John will give an update after surgery, as soon as he gets one.
